As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.

Y membership and wellness programs can improve the health and well-being of our community to reduce chronic disease, obesity, and improve mental health.

In 2022, the Y will:

  • Serve the health and wellness needs of the Ahwatukee Foothills community with affordable fitness programming for individuals and families

Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.

In 2022, the Y will:

  • Provide scholarships to ALL families in need of help with the cost of quality full-time childcare

The Y provides opportunity youth in the community, ages 16-24, with pathways to employment, shelter, food and a solid future.

In 2022, the Y will:

  • Create engaging opportunities for 100 young adults to participate in free or subsidized work readiness and civic engagement programs

Y programs work to reduce depression and fear through outreach and safe social gatherings.

In 2022, the Y will:

  • Allow home-bound seniors age in place by providing services that include transportation, friendly visiting, errands, minor household repairs, safety installations, and paper work assistance
