Josh Seaman, a Personal Trainer at the Desert Foothills YMCA, enjoys motivating his clients to achieve their health and wellness goals. As part of his job, he coaches people and tailors fitness programs to meet their specific needs, and he likes helping them lead healthier lives. His favorite part about training is the connections that he makes with his clients, and the fact that he is able to contribute to their personal growth and physical well-being. His top priority is making his personal training sessions an enjoyable experience that his clients will want to continue.

His greatest role, however, is helping his own children to reach their full potential. They inspire him every day and he says that the best feeling in the world is seeing them run to him and yell “Daddy’s home,” when he walks in the door after work. “Nothing gets better than that,” he adds.

All of Josh’s children are involved in Y activities, and they have taken part in swimming lessons. They plan to join the aquatics program and youth sports in the future. Josh says that his fellow Y team members have become his extended family, and they have welcomed his own family with open arms. He likes the camaraderie that he has built with his team and the members who frequent the facility, as this feeling of community is something that he hasn’t seen at other fitness facilities.

Josh grew up in Illinois, and moved to Arizona after high school to attend Arizona State University. He is a proud Sun Devil, and enjoys water sports and hiking in his spare time. He encourages people to take advantage of Personal Training sessions available at the Y, and he is always available to consult individuals and create programs to help them achieve their optimal health.
