A typical week is Strength Train Together on Monday. Step ‘n’ Strength on Tuesday, Active Older Adults on Wednesday, and Yoga on Thursday. My teachers are professional, knowledgeable and caring. It is evident that they love what they do. I’ve been a member for over 6 years and probably in the best shape ever. Overall my health has improved; I have lost weight and my body is firmer and stronger.


But there’s more. The Y is a place of respect, friendship and motivation. Members are encouraged to squat one more inch, hold plank 10 seconds longer or do just 1 more push up. One thing I like the most is that the Y is intergenerational which makes for a fun environment. I love hanging out with young parents who share stories about school homework or the teenage years. And I also enjoy sharing grandchildren milestones with other grandparents.


The Y does wonderful things in the community for people of all ages with a variety of needs. The staff is courteous and committed to healthy living programs for its members. I look forward to going every single day.
