She always comes in with a bright smile and excitement to use the gym. She encourages staff and other members to never give up, and she always does her best.

“I started at the Y a couple of months before my knee replacement surgery,” says Wolfskill. “I’ve been working with a personal trainer, Mark Anderson, twice a week. He made a huge difference in my recovery and rehab on my knee. The atmosphere of all the staff at the Y is very positive, and I continue to feel good about coming.”

At the Flagstaff Family YMCA, we work closely with each of our members to help them be the best version of themselves.

Whether it’s through general membership or specific programs, we know that being a welcoming place that fosters a sense of belonging and achievement is what matters. This philosophy is carried out every day through personal training. Each trainer gets to know his or her clients on a personal level and sets specific goals to help them be their best self.

Thank you, Phyllis, for sharing your story and for being a great example and inspiration to other members!
