Dynamic educational, vocational training resources for teens, young adults create strong community workforce.

Underprivileged teens and young adults, ages 16-24 who participate in the Y’s Workforce Development program have access to dynamic educational and vocational training resources, and create a stronger community workforce in the process. This program, offered to youth in partnership with the City of Phoenix and other private foundations, helps young people get started in the right direction in life.

While acquiring work-readiness skills, participants are encouraged to explore their own career interests, receive training in high-demand careers, and gain the confidence they need to become gainfully employed in our ever-changing job market.

The Workforce Development Program uses case management to help youth fill basic needs (transportation, childcare, food, housing, counseling/medical referrals), set academic/career goals & navigate a path to achieve them. For youth who have dropped out of high school, we offers a GED preparation program. To support youth’s success beyond GED acquisition or in and beyond high school, we offer a multitude of programs to bolster youth’s academic, career and life successes.

The Y is always looking for companies who would like to participate as a training resource. We have many successful stories which we can share to interested parties.

Orientations for all Workforce Programs are Fridays at 9am and 12:30p (must call to make reservation)

The program is free of charge to qualified youth. To get Involved, Call a career advisor today @ 602-688-5332
