As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.

Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.

In 2023, the Y will:

  • Provide youth with experiences to develop leadership skills, social skills and build confidence

Y programs provide experiences that build a sense of belonging and welcome young people to develop their self-identity.

In 2023, the Y will:

  • Train 5 youth to be camp leaders through the Counselor In Training program
  • Develop the next generation of leaders by helping them learn career-readiness and communication skills

Y programs support parents in creating stronger families to lower child poverty, reduce social-isolation, increase positive health outcomes, and increase family income.

In 2023, the Y will:

  • Bring families together for quality time in the woods at camp
  • Make the camp experience accessible to all

The YMCA Camp Sky-Y depends on your support to serve those who need us most. With your help, we can continue to provide financial assistance for programs and services like these for our most vulnerable populations. We invite you to join our work, pledge or donate today!
