Leann Johnson is a Certified Personal Trainer with The National Strength and Conditioning Association who has many years of experience working in the fitness industry.
She has been a Personal Trainer for over 7 years and she is also a Group Fitness instructor as well as an Aquatic professional. Although her formal training is in “strength and conditioning” she has the most experience and gains the most pleasure from working with those who actively seek a healthy lifestyle. She routinely educates herself on new ways to help people stay fit, and also actively educates herself on proper nutrition. She is passionate in her belief that proper nutrition goes hand-in-hand with a healthy and fit lifestyle. Leann has been active her entire life, and specifically enjoys running and bicycling.
Since moving to Arizona from Chicago she has found a renewed love of hiking as well. She believes that cross-training, on water and land, can help us all achieve “Fitness for Life!” Leann especially enjoys working for the YMCA and believes in their mission. She feels extremely fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with the Y members over the years. She loves connecting with members of the YMCA and tries to instill a positive lifestyle and attitude. Leann is passionate about healthy eating and sharing her knowledge with people through her love of food and sound nutrition. She feels humor and socializing are very important aspects of great health. She will help you reach your wellness goals and is qualified to provide tips, tricks, and tools to help you feel great about yourself, make nourishing decisions, feel more positive and energized, and to help provide more focus and productivity in your life.

The Ross Farnsworth-East Valley YMCA would like to welcome Mike Donnelly to our personal training team. Mike has been training for over 30 years and in three different countries. During that time he has experienced many different training styles and techniques.
Mike has dabbled in Shotokan karate, judo and Ju-Jitsu, however, his true passion was body building and the pursuit of the best developed physique he could achieve. Holding a Mr. England title and being a Mr. Universe finalist was a dream come true!
Along this 30 year path, Mike has gathered a wealth of knowledge with regards to fitness and healthy lifestyle that he would love to pass along to our members. He has coached numerous beginners, intermediate and advanced athletes during his experience as a personal trainer.
