Mike’s passion for training began as a youth when he was involved in such sports as wrestling, basketball, football, baseball and track. Mike still plays rugby on a local union team. Mike knows what it takes to get in shape and maintain that competitive edge.
Mike began working at the Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA as a personal trainer. Mike does one on one training, small group training and boot camp classes. He is versed in new training innovations such as TRX, ViPR and Battling Ropes as well as more traditional training tools.

Amy began her career as a group fitness instructor with the Y in 1995 and teaching a variety of classes that include high/low impact aerobics, stretch, Silver Sneakers, strength and conditioning classes and most recently has entered back into the group fitness scene as a Group Core instructor and Crossfit Level 1 Trainer.
She became certified as a personal trainer in 2005 as a personal trainer and crossed over to training clients on an individual basis. She recently has promoted her expertise in small group training clients who need the motivation of others but still crave the more individualized attention received with one on one training.
Her long list of cliental includes female power lifters, competitive cyclists, body builders, FBI cadets, MCSO officers along with the above average clients looking for more than just “a workout”.
Amy has competed in Women’s Natural Bodybuilding competitions and is a member of the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF). She won her pro card in her first competition here in Phoenix with Don Robinsons, “Best of the West” Bodybuilding Shows. From there she competed in Austin, Texas, Grand Cayman Islands and Phoenix, Arizona.
Her motto reflects her passion for promoting fitness, “Train Hard, Stay Strong”. She is dedicated to each and every one of her clients goals; as their success relies on her expertise.

Denice Okray is an American College of Exercise (ACE) Certified Professional Fitness Specialist. She holds an A.A.S. in Physical Fitness Training and Nutrition. She enjoys hiking the wonderful Arizona outdoors and believes in the core values of the YMCA.
Denice enjoys the challenges and victories of assessing the needs of, and delivering results oriented training for clients of all ages and all fitness levels. She also works with both Pre and Post-Operative habilitation. She promotes and teaches functional fitness training as a way to improve her client’s ability to perform the activities of daily living. She offers both private and small group sessions.
