Cardiopulmonary resuscitation also known as CPR is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergences, including heart attack or near drowning, which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

This class is designed to teach the proper techniques used in CPR to adults, teens, and youth. Participates will receive training in CPR, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and the relief of a chocking adult, child, and infant.

Train in First Aid Emergency Skills.

Our First Aid Administration training program provides workplace and community training in first aid emergency skills. This course is designed to help participates develop the necessary skills and knowledge to properly respond to a medical emergency. Participates will become familiar with a variety of settings including soft tissue injuries, muscle and bone injuries, burns, illness, and environmental emergencies. To achieve certification, participants must score a 70% or better. Certification is valid for up to 2 years.

This course provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatics emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Learn to Lead, Learn to Care!

This is a 2-week program that severs as an introduction to learning, working with and teaching children, and learning the roles and duties of a camp staff member. Skills that CIT’s will learn are: songs and games, leadership, behavior management, teaching camp activities, and the incorporation of YMCA camp values in camp life. An application is required and CITs will be selected based on maturity level, prior leadership, work, volunteer and childcare experience.

This course prepares a person with knowledge and skills recognized by safety and health officials as necessary and appropriate for babysitters.

Learn how to change diapers, handle kid situations, and the safety do’s and don’ts. We’ll teach you how to market yourself and find jobs too! Hurry, this class is always a sell out.
