Y-Academy

Now offered at 10 different Quality First-rated locations, The Valley of the Sun YMCA’s Y-Academy Program will help your young child develop essential social, physical, and intellectual building blocks.

Children are encouraged to exercise their creativity, develop new skills, work and play with peers, and develop positive relationships with adult role models. Activities include literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, technology, and healthy habits. Our state-licensed preschool programs provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth of your children. All preschool programs are licensed by the state of Arizona and accept DES and the Arizona Enrichment Center Scholarship.

BENEFITS OF YMCA Y-ACADEMY:
We place high expectations on our early learning staff. All classrooms are led by highly qualified teaching professionals, who are required to complete a minimum of 18 hours of continued education annually.

• We prioritize your child’s health and nutrition by providing morning and afternoon snacks that meet state nutritional guidelines. Additionally, we follow Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards.
• We emphasize safety by ensuring that ALL staff members are trained in First Aid, CPR, management of communicable diseases, and the recognition and proper reporting of child abuse and neglect.
• We focus on wellness by incorporating daily wellness screenings, as well as regular cleaning protocols, and hand-washing.
