Member Marisol Fattori has her son Ethan Cantees in our Before and After School program. She says that knowing that her child is safe and always engaged has been the best part of her experience at the Northwest Valley Y. She adds that Ethan gets a variety of educational benefits through homework assistance and by participating in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program, where kids get to use their imaginations, problem-solving skills and more through age-appropriate, hands-on activities. She values that it teaches him about these important subjects and in a fun and enriching way.
Marisol says that her favorite part about being a member is the time she gets to spend with her family at the pool. She also appreciates the Before and After Programs that focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement. The After School program serves kindergartners through middle schoolers in a safe, secure environment, and Marisol likes it because the curriculum appeals to kids while at the same time teaches confidence, encourages self-expression and enriches social development. Parent’s Night Out is another program that her family enjoys, because the kids have fun making friends, creating crafts and playing games, and dinner is provided! She says she can leave her child without worries knowing that he is in the care of experienced and caring staff members.
