Monday-Friday Sam volunteers at the Tempe Family YMCA. He picks up the morning staff opener every morning at 4:15am to open the Tempe YMCA doors at 5:00am. He volunteers to ensure Tempe's morning opener is safe when she opens. Sam helps the opener staff fold towels, greet members and set up every Tuesday for the Toast Masters Meeting. In the cold seasons Sam helps the lifeguards take off the pool cover since it is so heavy. Sam is loved by the regular morning members and they appreciate the time he has dedicated to the Y. The morning opener bought Sam a building brick with his name on it for his birthday to thank him for all the help he has done for her and the Y. Many thanks Sam!
