HELPING THE SENIORS OF ARIZONA STAY INDEPENDENT AT HOME
The YMCA’s Outreach Programs for Aging Seniors (Y OPAS) has been providing support services to Ahwatukee seniors since 2001. OPAS started as a grassroots effort at Mountain View Lutheran Church in 2001, in 2006, due to the need for more volunteers, OPAS became a program of the Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA.
Y OPAS is a community effort offering FREE support services for Ahwatukee seniors and their caregivers. Services are provided by community volunteers – the generous neighbors of Ahwatukee.
