Katrina Blouin Associate's are very helpful and friendly. The gym is very clean and there are many different types of exercise equipment to fit everyone's fitness abilities. There are also many exercise classes to attend for all types of people.
- Katrina Blouin
I've been a member here for 5+ years. I love the facility especially the pool. Locker rooms are clean and lockers are large. They just remodeled the shower area also. The staff when you walk in are very friendly and you feel like you are home. There is a huge gym and some awesome classes.
- Julia Wilke
Our family has really enjoyed being part of the YMCA community! The staffs are friendly and accommodating. BIG SHOUTOUT to Devra and Josie! There’s a strong sense of safety and inclusiveness. Coach Washington has been especially amazing—our kids have grown so much in confidence and skill thanks to his support in basketball. They always look forward to his classes! We love that there are programs for all age groups, but it would also be great to see more activities for…
- Rae
This place offers a membership for all services, however, my insurance covered my membership for free. The gym has many machines and weights, and there's a studio next door where they offer various classes: circuit training, cycling, Zumba, and more. All the instructors are very friendly and energetic, as is the staff. I've also taken my children to swimming lessons there during the summer.
- Kary Lugo
I like the environment, the quality of people who work out there, the lack of loud music and videos, that the equipment is in good repair. It's not overcrowded and you can get on the machines. I really enjoy working out at the Y.
- Amy Seiter
I love the positive energy of the people which spills out into the place as well. Every member of the staff is courteous, helpful and always has a positive attitude. The pre-school staff with whom I interact the most are soo good with the little ones, and with the parents as well! Thank you for caring for our young ones, teaching them and being patient with them.
- florentina popescu
I love the fact that my daughter absolutely loves going to camp! This is my first summer working since she started school! It just warms my heart when she is excited! Selenia and Matt are fantastic! Nothing but positive experiences here! Thank you
- Jessi Ryan Carroll
This YMCA is very nice. There's plenty to do for a range of interests, a tremendous gymnasium with full B-Ball and Pickleball courts, a spacious workout facility, and large outdoor pool. The exercise machines are brand new (2025), smart and intuitive. They also have a host of wonderful professional trainers, as well as many programs for children of all ages.
- Greg Stein
Amazing deals on summer swim lessons! My daughter has loved learning and loves the instructors!! My younger daughter has been getting used to being in the water and playing around while we wait for her sister's swim lesson. The pool is excellent for beginning children getting used to the water as well as experienced swimmers and everyone in between. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend any of their swimming classes. So glad we have a great place…
- Ricci Saliba
Clean, well maintained facility with free weights, well maintained equipment and thoughtful amenities. Better than any more expensive and more crowed facility of its type in Flagstaff, AZ
- Bob Baronas
I have joined the YMCA as a member to help better my health. As a woman of age, I need a place that has classes that work for me getting back into fitness. I feel very comfortable there and they have a fantastic gym! My grandchild attends the pre-school program, and she is so happy, and so are we as her family! The level of instruction she receives give me a Montessori-vibe. Empowering little ones to thrive! Clean facility and…
- Darcy Van Dyke
The Maryvale YMCA is truly a community center. The staff are friendly and they are organized. My 2 younger girls have attended their summer camp for years and they do alot with them as well as my 10 year old plays in Phx mercury basketball.
- Shirahna R
The staff here remembered me after one day! They are so friendly, it's so clean and it has plenty of machines so I never have to wait. I've been part of the Y for over ten years and this by far takes top 5!
- Allie Brown
Hey man, this is a YMCA in the middle of downtown. It's not the nicest, newest, or cleanest. But honestly if that gym in the basement doesn't fire you up for a workout, I don't know what will. 10/10 old school vibes. Doesn't have every piece of equipment you've seen in nicer gyms, but it's got everything you'd need for a full workout of any body area. Again, it shows its age but I don't see that as a bad…
- Anderson Welch
Great day care with very nice staff, great teachers and great class settings! We love the school and my daughter always shared with us all the things she learnt from school and how much she loves her teachers and friends at school! Highly recommended!
- Bin Jiang
Love working out at the y! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Other members are cordial and welcoming. So much to do, wide variety of programs and equipment!
- William Wenzel
I can’t say enough good things about our local . It truly feels like an extension of our family. What stands out the most is how involved and welcoming they are—not just for kids, but for parents too. There’s a genuine sense of community here that’s hard to find. One of the biggest lifesavers for me is their aftercare program. They pick my child up directly from school, which takes so much stress off my plate. Knowing my kid is…
- Allison H
The Silver Sneakers and balance classes are terrific! Instructors are very knowledgeable, fun and work hard to put together routines to make the classes not only fun but beneficial.
- Cherie Ware-Braley
I recently attended the YMCA's new Zumba class with instructor Mindy, and I had the BEST time. The class was so energetic, with loads of fabulous music and allll the good vibes. The best part of the class was definitely the instructor, who had a huge smile on her face through the entire class. Literally every minute of it! She was so upbeat and encouraging, even to those in the class who were new or a little unsure. I would…
- Brandon & Camilla Porter
I definitely would recommend what the YMCA has to offer to family and friends! It’s a great atmosphere for the entire family. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable the gym is very nice and welcoming and clean . And they have a wide variety of sports and activities for kids to do and enjoy for all ages and teens Aswell. My family and I enjoy the Y a lot as new members of January 2025. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Krystal Miles…
- Krystal Miles-Mora
It has a friendly atmosphere, managed efficiently, staff is attentive to your needs, the facility is well maintained, provides a wide variety of exercise equipment with expanded activities for all age groups and at a convenient location.
- John Vaszily
What do I like about the Tempe Y? They are a MARVELOUS institution staffed by AMAZING people who are doing WONDERFUL things for our community. I love being able to go to such a lovely place, exercise on state of the art equipment, while interacting with the LOVELY people who work at the Y making our world a better place. I also love seeing all of the families who have their children playing sports and all of the seniors living…
- Daniel James
Great! The kids really love how Coach Washington helps them get better at playing basketball. It would be even better if there was a pickleball court and longer swimming hours on the weekends and Y Kids. Also, adding activities like gymnastics or ballet classes for younger kids (ages 3+)—similar to the sports fest offered for the older kids—would be a great addition!
- Rae Legaspi
Ava and her male cohort, Jake, at the front desk are always cheering and welcoming. I have met many friends playing pickleball and working out. You can remain anonymous or get to know others n your fitness journey. As a Realtor I know how important referrals and reviews are. I have brought clients on tours of my DFH Y to show it off!
- Kaydee Wilson
Excellent, professional front desk staff, especially Gabrielle, Suzy and Personal Trainer Yuriko Tanabe. Gym and restrooms are always clean and well stocked. Recorded music is excellent to listen to in the weight room. Members are very respectful of each other.
- Andrew Kaufmann, ND
Missing out all these years! I have 2 kids and this was everything we've been missing all these years for our family! Great gym, fitness classes, pool to cool off in summer, parent night out, endless classes for kids, childcare, youth sports, awesome staff and more at such a great price! Everything you need to support your family's happiness and fitness! 😊👍
- Stephanie Howard
The Ahwatukee Foothills Y is a great local gym. If you live in Ahwatukee on the edge of the 202, this is the only place to exercise. The community is great which is because the staff promotes it. The number and variety of classes is amazing. The workout area is decent but could use a few more elliptical machines. The website could better advertise the classes. The 360 app that the Y uses is good, but somewhat limited in that…
- Bruce Cather
I really enjoyed the classes that they offer such as Yoga. The teachers are excellent. You come away feeling really good. They also have an excellent weight room. Everything that you can find in a bigger gym, you can find here.
- Tammy Nathan
Beautiful local YMCA with great parking, fantastic childcare with indoor and outdoor play areas. Friendly staff and plenty of fitness equipment to get a solid workout. Love, all of the Life Fitness and Hammer strength!
- Forrest Cory
I love this place to workout! The Staff are friendly and helpful. The facility trainers are the best! The pool and equipment are clean, well maintained and easily accessible. The cost is reasonable. The atmosphere is friendly, nurturing and nonjudgmental! Great place! Highly recommend!
- Denise White
My daughter absolutely loved the TILT Camp program. She was able to gain so much experience in leadership opportunities. She really enjoyed getting to work with the early learners program, as well as the great outside speakers that came and spoke. She was also able to become CPR and First Aid Certified, as well as is now a certified Babysitter. Great program, and she can't wait to enroll for next summer.
- Christen Femiani
I like it because I have questions everyday and they always answer them they always know where the kids are with the kids are doing kids are never out of their sight they feed them they go out to the movies and trampoline parks and different places they go swimming the staff keeps you informed and any kind of incident progress they call you if the kids are sick or out of hand yeah I like that
- Evonne Barbee
Great for kids and seniors and all ages. Nice well equipped workout gym. Exercise Classes are nice and great for seniors. They have basketball pickleball swimming and outdoor play areas. And indoor play area for kids. Nice friendly staff. Enjoy the Senior level exercise classes.
- D. Michael Herskovits
I have been a member here for years. They just brought in all new equipment, and, like the previous equipment, it is top notch. Upper level has many windows to let in the light! Employees and Manager are friendly and helpful. I travel and it is great to work out at YMCA’s in different states. Flagstaff YMCA has Flagstaff’s Community energy.
- Nancy Ryan
Hidden gem of gyms: hardly anyone in the weight room when I go after work around 5pm. Price is awesome considering I get to use the pool half the year.
- David Fauber
The YMCA in Flagstaff is wonderful for Seniors. The front desk employees are so nice. We have a tap dancing class for elder women called Flagstaff Dancin Grannies and the manager, John, always works well with our accommodations.
- mary debold
The YMCA has a program to help Senior Citizens! They call it Y-OPAS They help with transportation & we get together once a month & we have so much fun with playing games, snacks & gives me a chance to get out & communicate with other wonderful people.
- Claudia Jane Linton
Great gym conveniently located in Ahwatukee Foothills area. Very reasonable fees. Great amenities like indoor basketball court and pickel ball. Climbing wall. Awesome lap pool and a separate kids pool. Plenty of equipment. Clean and not too busy any time of the day. Missing a few things like sauna and it's low on the class offerings.
- Nihar Topkar
My daughter has been with the YMCA basketball team for two seasons, and we absolutely love it! The coaches are amazing and always encourage the kids to do their best. The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are very friendly and supportive. She’s learned great skills, built confidence, and has so much fun every game. Highly recommend this program! 🏀✨
- Lina Mamo
I visited this fitness center for a week while I was on vacation. A brief summary is that it’s a very clean gym, they have an extremely friendly and energetic staff and it has all the equipment and machines you need and when I went, it was never busy enough where I couldn’t get what I needed (I went between 8am-12pm hours). Specifically the gym has - one barbell bench press - one incline barbell bench press - one shoulder…

The Southwest valley YMCA in Goodyear is a great place to work out. Whether you're using the gym or swimming and taking classes in the pool, it feels more personal than your average gym. It's never overcrowded and it's a good place to meet people that are actually interested in... Working out. I have recommended this location to many people and have been going here for years. I'm currently working with a personal trainer, Brett, and he is amazing. If…
- Kai Hamilton
Very welcoming team and also great facilities! It is now two years in a row that we visit Tempe for a basketball tournament and we do all our warm up and pre game routine there. The staff has been nothing short of warm and welcoming. Thanks so much!
- Frederic
The Older Adult Circuit class is awesome! You work every muscle group and get plenty of interaction with other seniors. If you’re having trouble getting motivated, come join us!
- Kandice Vandendriessche
Great place they have all kinds of sports for you to get your kids into. Our daughter plays basketball and it gets her out of they house off the phone and she loves it
- Susan Bradley
GREAT Instructors! Especially Mary Portillo! Nice equipment/workout room, for all ages & physical requirements. Very friendly staff. Something for EVERYONE! And even though we're seniors, we still see such happy children (and parents) coming & going to/from daycare! I would highly recommend!
- Debbie Hoese
If you are looking for a safe, clean, family oriented place with friendly and helpful staff members for you and your family to learn how to swim or exercise the YMCA Southwest Valley location is the right place. The club offers a lot more activities, come and check it out you won't regret it.
- Myriam Bazaldua
I stopped in during a work trip, using the Y’s national reciprocity. The building seems pretty new, and the entire facility was clean. I enjoyed this Y location! I went at 6am when the pool opened on a Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, I was the 6th person in the 6-lane pool, and there was never a need for sharing. Wednesday was a bit busier, with just one lane sharing (2 swimmers, splitting), but maybe 9+ people that cycled out…
- Jason Ehrenberg
The staff always kind, supportive, and always provided great communication. I really appreciate and enjoyed all the activities they did with the kid during summer camp session. This was my first time enrolling my daughter in the summer camp program and the Y exceeded all of my expectations. Great Staff!
- Daphne Saintphard
I absolutely love the YMCA. This particular branch has incredible staff members. The before and after school program has been amazing for my family. My kids are happy and have great relationships with the staff. The gym is older, but it has everything you need and a bit more. It is clean and well maintained. The overall community is supportive and inclusive. I highly recommend becoming a member. It is evident that this branch works hard to build community, and…

From the moment we enrolled our daughter in the YMCA daycare, we knew we had found something special. As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I’ve learned to be extremely thoughtful and cautious about where I place my trust. I can say with complete confidence that this YMCA has exceeded our expectations in every way—not only meeting our daughter’s unique needs, but embracing her for exactly who she is and helping her thrive. What stands out most…
- Michael Alvarado
This YMCA has been a blessing to our family. My daughter has really enjoyed playing on the high school volleyball teams. We would definitely recommend this location.
- Denny Thomason
Great space for families and the staff is amazing. The new weight room is top notch. My kids love the going to YMCA child care play area the staff is friendly and engaging with the kids!!
- David Miller
There’s nothing like the original, but this one is true to form - established in 1907, the oldest and only Y partnering with ASU in the Phoenix area honoring patience, youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. It’s a comprehensive fitness facility offering group fitness classes (vintage basketball & racquetball courts upstairs), cycling, and all the equipment for indoor circuit training. They also provide important community programs including a food pantry and wellness program in collaboration with ASU. At $15…
